Coilover springs Help required.

Could anyone point me in the right direction please, I’m looking for a decent set of new springs to fit on my newly acquired Stasis suspension.

I’m told I need 10” front and 6” rear with a 2.5” id
They also need to be rated at approx 750lbs for the front and 1200lbs for the rears.
Does anyone have any knowledge of where to go, I’ve fired off a couple of emails to various companies with no joy.

I know the suspension on these cars run a high motion ratio but does anyone know what the standard spring rates are ?? The spring rates mentioned are hi is this car a track day car or daily ??

The Stasis coilover are based on Ohlins shocks/digressive valving and they are meant to be used with high spring rates. If you google Stasis/Ohlins you will find more specific details of their design and owners' reviews. In short, these Ohlins digressive valve/shock design has multiple oil paths and are very fast reacting, hence it has the ability to control much higher spring rates and this is quite different to other conventional shocks. 750/1200 lbs are street setting.

It’s a daily.

Most top quality shockers have digressive valving its the only way to get sonme form of comfort from a sporty shock . Higher spring rates will inevitably make the car very choppy on the road if its a daily drive . The shock doesnt have to work with higher spring rates . But i am still not sure what the standard rates are , My suggestion would be no more than 20 % stiffer if any kind of comfort is required . I would try do some homework and get the original spring rates , save a lot of time and money if you get it wrong and the car rides really badly . ( will be good on track but not on the road )

Not sure what you are trying to achieve here Shockerboy... There is no need to second guess the spring rates on the Stasis kit as they are designed like that.

The OP is a well-established member here and look at his build, he only wants the best for his car. I am certain he knows what he wants to achieve with the Stasis kit. The OP already has the Stasis shocks and knows what spring rate he needs, he just want to know where to get the coilover springs in UK, as simple as that.

Please don't turn this thread into another "Koni shock absorbers" thread :biggrin3:
