MPSS tyres advice (replacement)

Post by Jess » Thu Oct 19, 2017 8:04 am

Our C6 needs 2 replacement tyres 275x35x20. All 4 are currently MPSS. Do I replace with 2 MPSS or get the new replacement 2017 versions 4S jobbies ?

Doing the second option will mean different tyres on each axel ( even though same brand) would that look odd come sale time or am I over thinking this ??

There is still 5-6 mm if life on the existing rears

Also where can I buy for a good price ?
Best price online for MPSS is £209

Thanks for any advice and pointers

overthinking. So long as you match across an axle i'd say it's fine.

I do prefer to rotate fronts to backs meaning I have to replace all 4 at once (on cars where this is possible...) but it wouldn't be a killer to me if a car had different fronts to rears...I'd be more concerned at the level of tyre supplied, rather than the brand/matching set.

I put PS4S on the RS4 before it went, best tyres i've had on a car yet!

I'd buy two new MPS4S and fit them on the rear.
The tyre fitter can easily move the older tyres to the front either on the wheels or swap rims if you want that for some reason.
At 5-6mm you'll want to replace them sooner rather than later anyway.

I just got 4 MPS4S from Camskill's, having them fitted next week.

I found the PS4S to be much better than the PSS.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
