Bad day
Re: Bad day
Audi UK. Waste of space. Anyone got a good email for Audi Germany as high as possible ??
Re: Bad day
I think you can get email going to Audi Germany website no?
Re: Bad day
At last I think this saga is resolved
I've been made an offer from Audi finance which I have accepted and a full track day from the dealership. I'm fairly happy with both. Time to move on and enjoy the car

Re: Bad day
Well not exactly lots of beans
But I'm ok with the offer. Audi had the car for two and a half months. I pay just over £500pm on PCP I was given an A4 Avant 2ltrD manual as the courtesy car 66plate with 1k on the clock, and told that was all they had. It actually saved me quite a bit in fuel but oh so boring
The offer was £1k. Some may say I should have hung out for more but tbh that's more than I was expecting.

Re: Bad day
good its resolved. Just a comparison I had a BMW M5 a number of years ago (long time ago !)which broke vanos failure, suspension failure and fuel spraying into the engine bay - and was utter <beep>. BMW put me in a feking vector sri whilst trying to fix !!!! any how eventually got in to another 5 series and then mine back and £1000 compensation.
Re: Bad day
What do you not want to see when you have just got your car back after a full engine replacement??? Not this

Re: Bad day
Yeah this is what I expected. Putting something as complex as that back together is likely to be a jigsaw that is grey on both sides.
Legal.
Letter from lawyer to all parties highlighting what you are willing to accept once you have spoken to citizens advice or a full on lawyer. It should be included within your car or home insurances (legal services).
At this point I would be looking for
1. Full rejection of this specific vehicle.
2. Compensation for payments made where utility of vehicle not provided.
3. Either a new replacement or an alternative model of your choice if you have lost faith.
I think that the issue is that if you allow them to replace things until they finally resolve it then you are at their mercy forever.
I don't blame them as a rebuild of something as complex as that would be a swine on most vendors, E63, M5 etc etc.
I had a friend whose wife planked a RR Sport and it never went right afterwards. They ended up selling it on at a loss to some other poor sod. Same issue.
Don't over react prior to getting legal advice on the status. Your contract is with Audi Finance. They need to be made to work for you against Audi UK/GMBH.
If you need some names just have a look on LinkedIn. For example.

Re: Bad day
It’s too early to make any decisions yet as it was actually going back to Audi today to have the geometry re done and a proper valet. Believe it or not the EPC light actually came on en route. It’s done roughly 400miles very steady since the new engine. I’m hoping it’s something quite simple to put right.
I did panic a bit when it came on as this is what happened when the engine went pop. Fortunately nothing more happened this time. Now sat at Audi waiting for a report back tomorrow

Re: Bad day
If it helps,
The reason for my friends RS5 doing this was that despite having all codes cleared etc, they may hadn't done a required ECU update after initial fire up, which meant that the engine was basically still thinking it had to compensate for its previous running conditions (ie faulty) and hence was now confused by the now working engine. It is quite possible that this update was missed on yours and something in your drive to them triggered this set of repeat circumstances within these new (wrong) parameters.
Hope that all makes sense lol

Re: Bad day
You are brave letting Brighton Audi valet your car, I once had some money off them after they ruined my ceramic coating with what could only have been scouring pads despite being asked not to wash!
Generally, they are good though (despite nearly killing me once). I will be in on Friday having my black exhaust tips swapped over on warranty, so appreciate they took that one.
Maybe see you there!

After seeing the valeters at a unnamed Franchised Main Dealer washing a car with a broom, it cemented my stance that a Main Dealer is never to wash my car there

Re: Bad day
I see that your rs6 cursed, maybe you should sell it, I would understand if car has 100 000 km or so then issues would be understandable
