Oil check always says fine. Not a drop used. Really?

RS4 B8 chugged a litre every 1,000 miles.

No change at all in oil level from new to the 18,000 service. No change in the 10000 miles since, either.

One - 1.5L, if that, in 9.5K - loving it. Not the RS$ SC's 1L every 1,000 miles (gets expensive, if nothing else).

Audi quotes engine oil capacity 8.3L. After 8L of fresh oil the MMI showed it completely full ( would have preferred a dip stick), so it may be that Audi supply the car with 8.3L and that therefore at least 0.3L needs to be consumed before the MMI shows any oil useage. Anyone else found this when doing an oil change?

My car came from the factory with the MMI level display halfway between empty and full, so I don't think any was used at all.

That's actually not normal at all, I just drove 2000 km and my mmi oil level dropped, maybe your sensors are broken

When my car was delivered it was filled to the max...now 23,000km later is at 40-45%.

I did have 3-4 times 120mph-150mph sessions that lasted for about 20-30 minutes each (on Autobahn) and I generally drive about 100mph (car used only for outside of the city), as here in Croatia cops tolerate 155km/h without fines.

That's actually not normal at all, I just drove 2000 km and my mmi oil level dropped, maybe your sensors are broken

Normal for me too. No useage in 22000 miles (except changes at services). And sensor fine.

My car hardly used any oil for the first 12,000 oil change. I'm 20,000 now and about the 70% mark so overall very little oil usage.

Maybe you drive like pensioner mate:) car uses oil and normally oil level drops when you really using car:)

That's very normal usage, if you drive and use car normally it eats oil, for example I have 82.000 km on a clock and car eats oil normally, each year I change oil, doing 15.000 km per year
