Get it mapped.
Stage 1 at the very min, or a JB4 box if you're worried about warranty.
Awesome fun then, would give any "RS" on here a good run for its money.. for a quarter of the cost

Could be done. It's a '14 plate, high spec but has a few miles on so I don't mind diving it a go. It's about the feel of thing though too, over time. After a V8 it just feels a bit featherweight. With the RS4, you could feel the drivetrain. This is a quick hairdryer. I give it a month.
I agree... book a weekend in Germany... go enjoy yourself where the roads are built to drivePaul789 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2017 3:04 pmI'm with you on the - 'whoah, I'm paying as much on my cars as on a mortgage' front. I've been in this position too and the only thing I'd say (not knowing your circumstances of course), is maybe just engineer in a trip or two in the car to fall back in love with it.
Are you driving it too much as part of the daily routine? As cross country blast with some time during the weekly commute driving a shed may just give it a different perspective. At the moment, the losses are only on paper.
I had a similar deal through from Vehicle Savers albeit a 3+24 at £200inc VAT. Add in a couple of options such as metallic paint, 19" Prets and DCC, and you have a total bargain for £275 a month.
Yea it's too big downgrade from Rs6 to Golf, get a bmw m5 universalLeo-RS wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2017 7:01 amNo, No, No at downgrading an RS6 to a Golf
Too much of a drop. Yes, they are fairly quick with a map (Although they wouldn't be giving any RS6's standard or modified a run for their money) but there are tons of them around. Every time I see one, it's being driven by some 21yr old type boy racer and I can't help but think, it's a cheap £250pm lease deal. It's the 'new' Citroen Saxo or Renault Cliosport, a boy racers wet dream. Volkswagen are to blame for that by chucking them out there for peanuts. The 2.0t engine is great no doubts but it sounds like a hairdryer, if you really must go that way, get the Audi S3 instead.
M140's are ugly, the only draw to them is that they are cheap and have great engines, I think you would get bored of the looks after about 20 mins![]()
There are plenty nice new cars to 'downgrade' into to save a bit of money, M3/4, Audi S5, (there are some stonking deals on them at the minute). RS3 Saloon as already mentioned.
However, some good advice on here. It is a false economy with stacks of negative equity. You could potentially be £10k worse off than you are now by moving into another car (Neg equity + new deposit). If you're wanting to save yourself say £400 a month, that £10k that you've just paid to get into a new car would equate to 25 months of your £400 saving.
