Maybe we need a set of requirements then. Passengers? Load carrying capacity?

Ah, that pretty much rules out Cayman and 911's then.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

Three cars I've driven recently that bought a big smile to my face. Ftype 400 sport awd, the V8 r awd and the M2. The 400 sport and M2 were just brilliant fun. I also drove the M2 in the rain and it was a bit scary but dare say I'd get used to it. I also drove a manual M4 but did absolutely nothing for me although it was a non competition equipped version!
Both the jag and m2 I kept driving faster and faster and they were brilliant fun.

So Jag F type, R8 and fun Porsches are out. Cayenne is not a car you can chuck about.
M2 is rear wheel drive.
So back to your original suggestion of an RS3. I reckon the facelift 400ps version should be a good laugh. Lighter at the front and more powerful than the pre facelift. And although the photos ice seen so far of the saloon have been a little underwhelming, I reckon with some spacers springs and decent wheels it'll be a good looker.

I must say that once mine was lowered then aligned properly it transformed the handling. Note that lowering alone didn't make much difference.

Yep. Tyres and alignment make all the difference. You've posted some key alignment info Mike in previous threads - super handy for any potential owners. And I'd definitely recommend winding the nanny-state, understeer-inducing rear toe-in back to zero!

Pork is OK with kids under ten. Borrow one to see how it works.

Sabine Schmitz proved that a Transit Van could do a 10min lap around the Nurburgring. Doesn't make it a good vehicle though :bash:

I actually quite like the M2.. tbh I don't really want to be forking out 70k for a car, rs3 sounds great but is a little wooden to drive.. if I splash out more it would have to be on the Rs6 as I think it offers a lot more for the money than say going pork.. M2 on the the road looks beefy!!!!
I'd give it a drop and some spacers too finish it off...hmm watch this space, maybe I will get flamed for going to the dark side.
