Heard of Febi, but don't remember what the general consensus was. Google will probably help you...samuk wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 9:36 amRight...been speaking to Matt @ All german parts who has been very helpfull
He has given me 3 options: Febi, Mele and Lemforder
All 3 have these items included as part of a kit:

Febi: £330
Meyle: £475
Lemforder: £832
I am thinking Febi, as that seems to be a bargain...any thoughts?
Merle = OE quality, four years warranty.
Lemforder = OE supplier
Whoever told you Lemforder aren't strong enough is clearly talking out of their

Re: Control Arms
Does anyone know roughly standard fitting prices for the full set of arms, etc? I can see £200 has been mentioned in the OP but this seems low to me.
For my last Avant I had both upper arms and one tie rod end done at MRC for £150 labour. Lemforder parts at £235 for the three items, then VAT on top.
A friend has been quoted £380 for the upper arm bushes being replaced with powerflex and £122 to do one track rod end. Not at MRC though.
Assuming you're going for the Meyle arm kit at £475, labourwise does it make sense to rip the lot out and replace or just do the needed upper arms and track rod? Not clear what other arms have been done at previous points, but would suggest some will have been at some point as the car is over 10 years old / 100k miles.

Re: Control Arms
I would rate Febi Bilstein equally with Meyle, but I guess you're paying extra here for the "HD quality" bit with 4-year guarantee. If it was standard Meyle, they'd be the same.
Check out mister-auto.co.uk for the Lemforder kit though, I just checked the RS4 part numbers from the other thread and can get all the arms except the drop-links for £675 inc VAT and delivery.
To be honest, you probably can't go too far wrong with any of those options. If it was me personally, I like OE so would pay the extra for Lemforder.
