Rail pressure too high

Post by Audi-RS6-R » Fri Apr 28, 2017 2:54 am

Hey guys...

We (my tuner & me) have a problem with high rail pressure (Upgrade-HPFP)
It won't let regulate down...the pressure is always on maximum...

We tried other Upgrade HPFP from a working car setup, tried other ECUs, changed high pressure sensors..

No chance - always the same on my plus...other cars are working with that mapping & setup, but mine does not - too rich and too much pressure on high rpms

Someone an idea??

If you have the possibility, get bigger injectors. There has been alot of failures and problems with HPFPs.

Bigger injectors with OEM pumps. You will need a new MAP. Do not have part numbers for the bigger injectors, but I think they are from the Porche parts bin.

I have since a couple of days massive problems at acceleration from low rpms - strange noise from exhaust like a lot ignition failures.
Spark plugs etc. all new...now I think it must be the injectors...

BTW.: I am on OEM pumps in the moment...

i remember Brett had an issue when he switched to a LOBA HPFP on his 900 bhp RS6. MRC advised the standard ones are more than up to the job and no need to change to HPFP, pretty sure classba ran a standard fuel pump on his too

They can cause ring landing failures if they fail. I was going to send mine away to get serviced and new seals
