RS4 B7 Avant project - SOLD

Hi,

I am potentially considering selling my 2007/07 Phantom Black RS4 Avant. Owned for last 5 years by me, I am the third owner.

This car is a project!

It does require new timing chains and tensioners (engine out job). I have been advised by my mechanic not to start the car at present. Has been running great until now. 165,000 miles on the clock. Therefore no test drives, don't bother asking. Car will need to be trailered away if you buy.

Specification - comfort seats in black leather, carbon interior trim, flat-bottomed steering wheel. No sunroof. Alloy wheels are a little tatty (flaking) a few stone chips on bonnet, front bumper a little worse for wear from stone chips. Has new windscreen just 2 months ago. MOT until August.

Primarily serviced by local garage during my ownership with major services and work carried out at MRC, Banbury. Carbon clean, manifold deflap & stage 2 remap and new clutch/flywheel and associated components replaced - all carried out, around 40,000/50,000 miles ago. Car sits on H&R springs, equivalent to SS+ suspension. I have spacers also if you want them, not currently fitted (8mm front, 10mm rear). Sill running DRC factory suspension.

Great opportunity for someone with either the skills to undertake the engine work themselves on what is likely to be a very cheap purchase, or arrange to have the work done. Please note, I'm not giving it away, I have a rough idea what it is worth if stripped for parts and am therefore loathed to take any silly offers. I am still contemplating having the work done myself and keeping the car.

Sounds like a good opportunity for someone. I'd probably take it if I wasn't on the verge of a costly house extension so driveway space is at a premium now.

If someone buys this I have an engine in a crashed b7 rs4, it was a new crate engine fitted by Audi in August 2013, I have the service book and it has covered 30,000 kilometres since being fitted, It can be seen running.
