Bilstein B14 RS4 B7 ?

Post by vroomrs4 » Thu May 04, 2017 8:30 pm

Hi all
I've just been told that Bilstein B14 aren't very good for the RS4 B7 because there to soft ?
If you have them what do you think ?
Many Thanks

I decided on the B16's as i wanted more control and they are only £200 odd more fitted...

From speaking to an installer...the b14s are the middle setting...not too hard nor sort..

And i may end up needing arb's...so decided to just go for the b16s rather then regret it later..

I find the b14's quite a firm ride, but then I have been used to driving family wagons for years.

I never noticed much difference between stock SS+ and B14 to be honest when I fitted them to my first RS4

Never heard anyone saying there to soft ? Heard people worry they may be to hard, think the general consensus is they are a tad stiffer than oem, but not in a bad way. I have no complaints with mine

Early doors yet, but mine are nice and firm.

The B14's are set fairly middle of the road I feel. I'm happy with mine but if you want less body roll it's the abr's you need to purchase.

Who ever told you that, never driven with B14s...
With upgraded ARBs it's brilliant. If you want adjustability than do go to B16 but and it's a big But. Ask how many people actually change setting on their b16s?? More often or not it will be set to near B14s settings. I track mine quite often and honestly even though I wish it was a tad harder on occasion I'm very happy with its performance. https://youtu.be/QxYrcLP1kQs

Thanks very much for all your replies .i was very surprised my self with that comment, bearing in mind so many B7 owners have that set up. I purchased a set of B14 and ask MRC to fit them and that is were i got that comment from.
