I kept the original arms and fitted strongflex bushes. A little work but fits well.

i emailed the 'main' UK polybush suppliers and got the following responses (below)

so i'm thinking : if i find out the various bush dimensions then look up Polybush cataloge ,
then as I've access to machine Shop (and i think its unlikely we can get an order of 100 together - or am i wrong??) to consider at some Polybush bar and machining my own

does anyone have the various bush dimensions?

Ross

reply from polybush:
Im afraid we don’t currently cover this vehicle, the only things I could suggest are:
1) See this section (http://www.polybush.co.uk/pages/cant-fi ... ooking-for) and try and match the bushes by size with ones we already make
2) We do sometimes make custom bushes but only for a minimum order quantity of 100
3) We do sell polyurethane by the bar if you have machining capabilities.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards

from Powerflex:

Many thanks for your enquiry.
Unfortunately, we do not manufacture any parts specifically for that vehicle at this time. However, we do list a range of Universal Bushes of which some may be suitable.
These are listed by dimension so you would need to measure the original bushes to ensure the correct fit. Please see the link below:

You can also find a list of our distributors on our website who will be more than happy to assist you with any purchases:

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any further information.
Kind Regards

Thats a good find! i think the fronts will fit (mostly) as i have compared the generic a6 arms to the RS6 arms and there is no difference, track rods are different but thats about it.
I highly doubt the material is any different either.

Anyway, let me know the outcome this is certainly something i would purchase and have done... probably be £1000 all in to buy and have fitted but at least you'd not need to touch the suspension components again.

yes - but it aint a small job. all and it mean all the suspension has to come out to replace the bushes, so powder coating everything whilst it's out... me thinks a nice blue to offset those nice red AP racing calipers you like Ian :-)

I will need to get tracking set once back together up again
wondering if any other tweaks are worthwhile seeing i have it all in bits?
? spring change
? stiffer a/roll bars

That's awesome Ross.

On a related note, having read the thread and F it helps others.. The OEM manufacturer is Lemforder. You can buy the arms separately, from somewhere like Allgermanparts. So if people don't fancy polybushing, or buying all the Lemforder parts, they could purchase the Meyle kit IanH linked to and get the lower specific arms and track rod ends from Lemforder. Allgermanparts are usually about 50% of the Stealers prices.

That said, I'm not sure if Ian was able to confirm if the Meyle track rod ends and lower arms fitted when it was at MRC.
