NAVIGATION/CLIMATE CONTROL CHANGES

Anyone got any advice?

I got a Y reg S3, facelift, but the climate control unit is in the middle
under the single din cassette Symphony 1 radio, I just brought a new NAV
unit for £400, and had to buy the c/c unit for the lower compartment, which
cost me £70...got the whole thing for £470, going to be charged £50 fitting.....

Has anyone had problems changing the climate control unit to the lower compartment?

Any help would be appreciated guys, and did I get a good deal?

I never actually got the correct climate control unit.

I run a salvage yard, so have 100's of breakers numbers

I been calling every day trying to locate the correct unit

The part number you are looking for is as follows

8LO 820 043 L (Make sure it is L at the end, as most salvage yards
have climate control units, but different letters. This represents differents
models such as A4's etc)

I have not had any luck, as the first one I brought the guy tried to pull
a fast one, and send the wrong unit. I got my money back, but now
I might have to go to main dealer and buy the unit brand new, if thats the case, its going to cost £550 inc Vat.

I hope your going to have better luck then me.

As for fitting, any car radio qualified person can fit it for you.
I have my cousin who is helping me, but you should not get charged
more the £70. Also, you dont need to get a GPD antenna, as the factory
fitted S3's have that on top of the roof fitted. The SAT NAV unit you buy
should have an antenna with it.
