Oh, yeah, I see what you mean Mike! Will have to sort that out! Apologies everyone!

Been working away for three weeks doing 16 hour days then back home to a new born. My head has been absolutely burst past few days!

How do you upload speed camera locations as POI?

Oh God...... There's a whole massive thread about it but.......

Go to pocketgps site and download the Garmin style POI's. How to on the site.

You then upload the .csv or compatible files through myAudi in the audi connect section. Click on "Add personal POI". When you do this you add a specific image to each type of camera. This is the .bmp file or whatever the picture file designation is.

Now, you have to have java updated and installed for the next bit!!

Once you've added the POI's to the Individual Special Destinations in myAudi you then click the download button. This will download a .jnlp file. Bear in mind I'm on mac so might vary for widows.

Right click and select open with java the .jnlp file. It's like unzipping it and converting to files the mmi recognises. The java runs an audi converter tool where you need to log into again.

You are then left with a POI file where you chose to download it to. Format a 32gb or bigger sd card/USB stick and copy the POI folder over.

Goto car and select Set Up MMI. Scroll down to system update. The relevant SD1 or SD2 or USB should be highlighted. Select it and choose to update. The camera locations will be in your special destinations under Navigation Destinations.

I found it a bit temperamental....not always recognising the card but got there in the end.

"Easier not to speed!!"

Not always; my father-in-law (thinks he's Captain Slow) got hassled by a tailgater into getting an SP30, doing 37 in a 30 Limit, trying to keep a safer distance in front, forgetting that, despite having THREE lanes on his side of the road, it was actually still a 30 limit, he hadn't reached the 40 limit yet and he was doing this a he passed the speed camera!

It basically took me a whole day to get it to work. For some it just happens.

Did you manage to get everything on an sd card?

I thought you had to pay for an annual subscription to get the safety camera downloads.

Was at my sisters for the weekend, brother in laws great with 'computer stuff', showed him the link/instructions above and he gave it a go.

He said something about a link, or something being broken.... all over my head.

He's not local to me, so I'll have to work it out myself when I get the time.

If there's an easy step by step instruction out there, a link would be appreciated greatly.
