Hi
My local service outfit have diagnosed aTPS fault with EPC warning light coming on and limp home mode having happened a few times.
I baulked at the official ludicrous price to replace a variable resistor which probably costs Audi £1, but they insist on a change of throttle body at over £1000.
I'm trying to find a second hand/reconditioned replacement.
My dealer says I need part no. 079 133 062b and no other will do. but I've seen cheap 079 133 062a which seem to be advertised for the same car and then of course there's the Corvette TB option.
Anyone know the differences between these or do I have to stick with the 'b' version ?
Thanks
Karl
Part number for Rs4 B7 throttle body
Re: Part number for Rs4 B7 throttle body
The -A will do.
But all of these will also work just fine as they are the same:
PIERBURG 7.14423.00.0 (the original manufacturer)
GENERAL MOTORS 12570790
ACDELCO 217-1617
CARDONE 673003 (reman)
They can be had for about 340 USD plus shipping and import taxes.
I still have a used OEM TB lying around from when mine failed (similar symptoms) and I ended up buying two off Ebay.

That's great, thanks
Re: Part number for Rs4 B7 throttle body
Bought the AC Delco part from ebay from a u.s buyer and fitted today. It's identical to the Audi part I took off the car.
It's fixed the epc limp home mode issue and saved me around £700 so many thanks.
