Worthersee 2017
Worthersee 2017
I really want to get to Worthersee this year but to be honest i don't know a whole lot about it. Who's been before? What's it like? My car will be ready soon before and would love to show it off there..
Also where do people stay? I have emailed them through their site and have got a response with house prices etc but can't read German. I have looked on Airbnb and there are places available but I'm not sure if they are close to where the action is..
Any help or pointers would be much appreciated...

Looks like a good event, popular on the nodded scene.
I know Jules goes to this event.

Yeah he does, maybe I'll contact him. I could always book something around the lake as I'm going with a friend that doesn't drink so he could always drive back in the evenings if I want have a tipple.
From what i understand they book out the whole town and people just drive in from all over Europe, talk cars, look at cars, go swimming, look at promo girls etc etc.. People seem to be there for weeks too. And the drive to Austria through the apls look mental.

Yes it looks like a piss up disguised as a car show.
Re: Worthersee 2017
Was thinking of taking 3-4 days to drive there hang out for a few days and come back. Half of the fun is the drive out there. Would make it a proper road trip. I did this around Italy last year for a few weeks and it was awesome, even in a shitty hire car.
Look at these roads.

My kind of car show...

God I love a road trip. Shame I can't make it this year, maybe next year though. I'm not jealous at all..........

Re: Worthersee 2017
I've been twice mate and it's a epic place and well worth the drive cars everywhere and the quality of the cars is something else-Went last year and got a house in the next town and off the top of my head we 600 Euro self catering for 4 and drove in every day-the roads around the lake are awesome and there's loads to do there's a lot of police about but as long as your not silly low or acting like a dickhead there fine-mr loose is the man who will know more than me but if you want to know anything let me know,I'd be going this year but have major work done to the house so going to have to wait till next yearjonytek wrote:I really want to get to Worthersee this year but to be honest i don't know a whole lot about it. Ok cool, sounds like a great time. I'm just trying to find an Airbnb but really don't know where to look. Are the festivities all the way around the lake or is there a main area? Don't suppose you could get a screen shot from google maps? it's too difficult booking through their site with the German and all.Jayjay101 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2017 10:54 amI've been twice mate and it's a epic place and well worth the drive cars everywhere and the quality of the cars is something else-Went last year and got a house in the next town and off the top of my head we 600 Euro self catering for 4 and drove in every day-the roads around the lake are awesome and there's loads to do there's a lot of police about but as long as your not silly low or acting like a dickhead there fine-mr loose is the man who will know more than me but if you want to know anything let me know,I'd be going this year but have major work done to the house so going to have to wait till next yearjonytek wrote:I really want to get to Worthersee this year but to be honest i don't know a whole lot about it. Re: Worthersee 2017
I went twice about 10 years ago and loved it, loved getting there and I loved being there.
I stayed at this hotel http://www.hotelcarinthia.at/en/das-haus/ but it looks like it's changed hands now and had a make over but its a good spot to be and a large car park out back (friend rebuilt his Golf engine there when we last went).
I have pictures on my photobucket if you look me up there.

Re: Worthersee 2017
I went last year in the RS4 and it was awesome. It's best to stay in Velden around the Casino.
Re: Worthersee 2017
Yep, I've got a place with a friend in Velden... Can't wait to hit the road.
