Howdo Bladey, I've got a spare bock on standby if it's starting to look terminal, find out next week but if you've got any more info on the Alusil company let me know just in case!

if you do have an issue it may sound daft but they have had a few issues recently with the 2.0 tfsi engines on stock pistons and the tt420/480, although not directly related to the turbo its self.

it seems to be pushing to the limit of what the pistons are capable of withstanding.
they are have having issues with the ring landing and always happening in the same location on the pistons on every persons car from memory between the 12 and 2 o'clock as you look at it.
i just cant track down more information at this time as its on a Facebook group.

Just a quick update after dropping the car off at Unit20 on Friday and having a good old chat with Grizz.

They're going to strip, investigate and rebuild the engine in slow time over the next few months and, depending on the engine cost, I'll get some additional maintenance bits done. I'll post the cause of the failure as soon as I find out but until then thread will probably be pretty quiet.
