Milltek CAT Deletes (Error Code Delete P0420 & P0430 - BANK 1/2 Efficiency Below Threshold)
Full Milltek Non Resonated System
Standard ECU NOT Remapped ONLY CAT Delete Codes
19,000Miles
We had our RS6 recovered into the local dealership after a visit from the VW Audi Roadside Assistance Technician on Friday 3rd February & was asked to collect it on Monday 6th as it was complete
When we started the vehicle the EPC light was still on & restricting its rev's to 4000rpm so we left the vehicle at the dealership...
We received a phone call today saying they couldn't continue with the vehicle as it wasn't standard & the original exhaust needed to be fitted...We visited the dealer to have a meeting with the service manager/master tech who said they couldn't believe the data coming from the vehicle due to the Milltek Exhaust & CAT Delete File
I've had a report to say the brakes are worn & its due a service in 1700miles but because we wont commit to "PAID" work it seems our car is getting fobbed off as they are not willing to spend anytime investigating
Error Code:
VCDS: 14313 - EXHAUST CAM ADJUSTMANT ACTUATOR B; CYLINDER 3 - P11D8 00 [167] - IMPLAUSIBLE SIGNAL
Has anyone else had a similar issue???
Erm, stating the blindingly obvious here but your fault codes and engine warning light are related to the modified exhaust system.
You can't just fit a turbo back exhaust, remove the cats and run the car on a standard Audi configuration file. The car will be running like a bag of sh*t. The car is finely tuned at the factory to comply with the hardware setup on the car, if you change the hardware, the software will no longer work as it should. From the boost tables to the fuelling to the timing, everything is now corrupt. The standard exhaust system will naturally have a restriction in the way of the catalytic converters to control emissions. There are lambda sensors before and after to control the fuelling (Air to fuel ratio) You have removed these restrictions in the way of a larger diameter exhaust system and the fact that there are now no cats in place. Controlling fuelling has therefore gone to sh*t, the turbo will be overspooling and the car will be running rich. In other words, the car will down a good whack in power. The ECU has recognised this and has restricted revs to 4000 to stop you from loading up the car.
You then decided to take a 14 reg RS6 into Audi to complain

A car that did still have warranty anyway, probably not any more I would say. What cowboy outfit knowingly switched off the lambda codes whilst still using the stock software file? It's almost as bad as Delboy removing the lightbulb from the dash display in the old heap of sh*t that he flogged to the Aussie
Sorry, but this is comical and a sheer height of stupidity on your behalf. You have essentially black marked and de valued the car by losing its warranty. If I were Mr Audi, I'd charge you for the diagnostics cost and cancel your warranty on the spot.
Now to being constructive, you have 2 options..
1) Take the car to see a tuner straight away, the software needs changed (Do not excessively rev or boost the car, keep the loading low, even if it does allow you to come out of soft limp 4000rpm mode)
2) Take the exhaust off the car and put the full standard exhaust system back in place, clear the error codes and see if they come back. If they do, take it into another Audi dealership and ask them to take a look. You want to hope that the initial dealership you have taken it too has not added a 'black mark' to your VIN/Registration thus cancelling your warranty.
The damage may have already been done though, if the car was driven hard with the modified exhaust on the stock file, then who knows what's happened. You get away with it cat back exhaust systems, nothing really changes, when you start removing cats though, leaving it on a standard file is a huge no-no
