I txt the seller a few times and as expected he's being a c*nt saying he'll take his (fat/ugly) wife out for dinner with my £200

How can I f*ck this c*nt up and stop him selling his lemon to some poor bugger?

Personally I would have ignored the ad after just reading the description, anyone who spells things like 'xceptional' should not be trusted! lol.

Just write off the £200 and be grateful you have dodged a bullet. Be more careful looking for a good example, if it's surprisingly cheap I would be very suspicious. Keep an eye out on here for cars, there's always a few knocking around. Good luck.
Real name: Simon, or Si, don't mind either

Yup, good point on the ad description and yes, I'm actually happy that I'm just £200 down rather than the new owner of a <beep> RS4/Mondeo

Hi

I don't know if you're still interested in purchasing an RS4? I have a very straight and honest Mugello Blue Cabriolet for sale:

I'm a serving Soldier and about to be posted overseas so unfortunately she has to go. Fantastic car in every aspect.

I was just reading this post, thinking "this sounds very familiar"!!!

So I test drove this car very recently and I did my research before hand, I went armed with a full history timeline written out as it appeared to have quite a past and a couple of areas that concerned me. It had been exported and I tracked down its original number plated, which confirmed It legitimately had been registered in Leeds and had a number of MOT's up to the 33K mile mark. It was then exported out of the UK where It spent a month (Southern Ireland I assume) before it was re-registered back up in Armagh Northern Ireland. The MOTs for the new NI plate seemed to again corroborate the current mileage which allayed my initial concern it had been clocked. VIN's all checked out with what paperwork he did have from service and mot paperwork so satisfied it wasn't stolen, but had lost the V5, which was in his brother in laws name anyway and there was no paperwork from its previous life before being exported and no real list of evidence that any major work done like DRC repair.

It did have service stamps beyond 2013, in Dundee Audi 2015 and a Edinburgh Audi 2016, I just checked the photos on my phone but the missing V5 was an issue and just the general lack of documentation from its time in Ireland and before.

I drove it and it drove fine, rev'd all the way out to 8000rpm + brakes were new on the front worked fine, checked the sport button worked the valves on the exhaust for any vacuum leaks ( basically did all the forum based checks). Car needed a proper clean and that seemed about it. I walked away and my gut told me it wasn't for me, but it was 57K miles and £18K which if genuine was not a bad deal, but if it doesn't feel right then its best left alone.

Text him today, still no V5, it was in the post, but it's been sold. Someone either got a good deal or they've picked up something with a dark past or something majorly wrong with it. Luck of the draw.

My search continues!!!

FYI, its chequered past
