Hello!

Post by Chris_Ward » Tue Oct 25, 2016 9:01 am

Only joined up recently, used the forum as a resource to help me get into Audi ownership, which I have now done via an RS4 (B7) Avant. So thought it would be a good time to introduce myself and say thanks!

So might aswell start with the embarrassing car history. Went through the first car phase, which unfortunately for me was a Nova, so this meant as I didn't know better I ended up spending far too long in Vauxhall's crappy little rust buckets, going through 4 of them, culminating in this proper chavtastic jobby:

For it's sin's in was a converted to a turbo (1.6 GTE lump with T2/3 off an RS Turbo), and I did get a mag feature, but lets move swiftly on!

So growing up a bit, and a lot of my friends were into the aircooled scene, so picked up a beetle that I was determined to turn into a drag car. As you can see a lot of skill and money was thrown at the damn thing, but I know most still think it just looks like a rusty old bug  :

So probably about two years into that project reality got the better of me and I was getting bored of not having something nice to drive regularly, so looked to sell the bug project on and find something more usable. About this time my friend turns up in his silver RX7 FD and at that point I was sold, I had to have one! So in my hurry, and naivety, to get into an FD as quick as possible I went and bought my first FD:

Due to a change of job and travelling a lot, and still living with my parents, and them not being happy with a timeshare on the drive, it was time to move on, but I knew I'd get another sometime in the future. So this is how she looked when she went:

Fast forward to the current time, and I now have another RX7 that I'm slowly rebuilding from this:

To currently this:

But while thats going on I'm looking forward to enjoying the RS4:

Currently the plans are fairly simple, new headunit has been ordered, will look to change the exhaust and wheels in the not to distant future, then will take it back to MRC for another remap (it had a carbon clean and stage 2 last year according to the history I got with the car).

Sorry if that's a bit spammy for a first post, I got a bit carried away! :biggrin3:
