What is the trade/wbac value for the car, just out of interest?

i have a few traders looking to do a deal with my C5 RS6. Cheapest is 22495 (86.5k with FSH and 700bhp mod). Most expensive is 25495 (86k with FSH and DVD/Games Console in rear) and a couple in between, both standard examples with FSH and lower mileage. Planning a road trip when I get home from work (abroad).

Tough time to move this type of car and not a reflection on the car buddy!!! Also I think its a safe bet that the car would go in a heartbeat at Capt Ric's suggestion (20k). Would be a sore one to get rid of it at that kind of money to a trader to then see it sitting on Auto trader for months on end for 27k or something. Seen it a few times

Well the car went today :beerchug: The past week has been interesting with private offers and dealers. Eventually I let the car go to Webuyanycar.com for a shade under £21K so I would assume this will be back on a traders forecourt for near my original asking price whilst providing a few profit in-between. I so wanted to let this go to a forum member but all I've had is people telling me it's worth less than wbac.com were willing to pay, strange market.

Well done Andy.
I reckon you've made the right call mate. To hang on for months for a grand or so simply doesn't make sense. A bird in the hand and all that....
Thanks for the pm's.

Those callers were likely just traders trying it on, so you were right to tell them to foxtrot oscar.

Never heard of Tootle until you posted that, might of been interesting to see how that worked out. Oh well, too late now

Not much t be honest Mark, they basically start with the online price and then examine the cars paintwork and wheels. Every panel is assessed ad every stone chip and scratch is recorded and then entered into their buying system. They then have a grading for how many marks per panel and that then deducts money from the quote. They also check the thickness of the paint on each panel to see if it has been repaired. In total they knocked a couple of hundred off my online quote, which I was expecting so went with it.

One of the callers were telling me how dealers who were advertising cars at £25K were prepared to let them buy for £19K so would be looking for less than that for mine! Can't see that for a second so guess you're right Ian, probably wide boy traders trying it on.

Not this year mate, all booked up for those dates with a trip out to pioneer the Pacific NW and then onto more familiar ground with Rainbow Canyon. Unfortunately, one of the F18 pilots a few weeks ago crashed into one of the mountains, whilst taking off from Meiringen in poor weather :(

Here's a little vid from last year before the cloud rolled in for the rest of the week. AXALP or should I say Wildgärst is still on my hit list, I did 3/4 of the climb to where the Video was shot and it was tough enough

I used tootle and sold my car to Sytner for nearly £3k more than wbac price

Wbac put tbe car straight to auction, whereas tootle has actual dealers bidding for your car

Tootle looks like a decent option, but only buys cars up to 10 years old, just for your info.
I appreciate this doesn't affect Andy's car...

Cant believe it - all that work and effort to be sold to some muppet who won't appreciate it - bet WBAC couldn't believe their luck (actually probbly didn't have a clue what they were buying!)

Sorry to hear this Andy
