Suspension parts

Post by don0301 » Fri Aug 26, 2016 2:40 pm

So, I've ordered and received Meyle 116 050 0095/HD service kit.

From digging around the forum it doesn't seem clear to me which additional parts need to be ordered for RS6 specific.

Could someone please help me out, with Meyle part nos would be great.

Thanks guys.

Also, is there an equivalent service kit for the rear suspension?

Hi Don,

I had this kit fitted and the following OEM Audi parts were needed as the Meyle parts aren't to RS6 spec* -

Tie Rod ends x2 - 4F0419811F
Left Lower Rear Arm - 4F0407693K
Right Lower Rear Arm - 4F0407694K

* what the spec is I've no idea. The Meyle parts will still fit but "probably/maybe/might be" won't be as strong (different bushes etc?)

There is no Meyle Rear Kit, you have to buy the bushes separately (don't buy the arms, just the bushes) but there is a rear "wishbone" kit for the chassis (need 2).

Will I have to order those specific parts from a stealer, or is there another source?

They're expensive from a stealer - I have a hazy memory of about £500+, so have a word with rtd on here and see what his mate would be able to get them for.

What needs replacing on the rear? i have done the front with a Mapco HD kit (all arms fitted and work fine barring track rods)
Want to replace anything that is worn out on the rear.
Could you help me with what bits i'll need etc.

I'll stick a post up later with the bits I did on the rear (some Febi & some Meyle) but it was basically all the various suspension bushes and the wishbone bushes.

This are all the rear bushes/arms etc.

Using this diagram for the suspension - http://vagpart.com/audi/audi-rs6-rs6-pl ... g-housing/

Number on Diagram - Total Quantity - Meyle Part Number

No 1 - 2x - 100 505 1008/S (wishbone bush kit)
No 5 - 2x - 116 035 0009 (track rod)
No 8 - 4x - 100 711 0017 (trailing arm bush)
No 16 - 2x - 100 505 0008 (wheel bearing housing bush)

Using this diagram for the rear sub-frame - http://vagpart.com/audi/audi-rs6-rs6-pl ... ort-frame/

Number on Diagram - Total Quantity - Febi (F) or Lemfoder (L) Part Number

No 2+3 - 1x - (F) 31041 (full kit with 4 bushes)
No 4 - 1x - (L) 29321 01 (left bush only)
No 4 - 1x - OEM 8E0 599 257 Q (Can't find any aftermarket replacement. I think is the same as the one above but with a yellow mark)

Using this diagram for the Anti-Roll Bars - http://vagpart.com/audi/audi-rs6-rs6-pl ... absorbers/

Number on Diagram - Total Quantity - Meyle Part Number

No 9 - 2x - 116 060 0026 (rear anti-roll bar C-Links)

I used these websites -

Febi - http://www.febi-parts.com/vehicle.php?r ... cturer=221
Meyle - http://www.meyle.com/nc/en/spare-parts/search.html
Lemforder - https://webcat.zf.com/index.asp?country=GB&SPR=4

There's lots more parts in all of those websites, have fun!!!!!

Holy sh!t Ian!

So whats best just search those part numbers and buy them... are those what you replaced on yours? i've already done all the front arms barring track rods so its just the rear that i really need to get done, i mean it feels fine but i'd rather be 100% you know?

I did everything except Lemforder/OEM bush as I forgot them - Doh!

However, after MRC's previous form, I'll get them checked while at Unit20 to make sure they did actually get changed.
