Is there any cure for the oxidization of the inner lights? I've tried polishing them with a plastic cutting paste and they end up looking pretty close to the outers but within a few hours they start turning white again.
I'm thinking the best action is new units.

It could just be confirmation bias but the facelight inner rear light seem to scratch less and stay as shiny as the outers much longer/better than the pre-FL ones do.

When I bought the car I'd said that I'd not be playing around with it but the temptation is too great and I've been seriously thinking of tint wrapping the rear lights to match those on my Ur, so I'm going to try dealing with the inners in steps.
I'll start by taking them off the car giving them an intensive polish and wrapping them. If they deteriorate again I'll have to decide between replacement pre-FL inners or a complete set of facelifts.
Although I'm already thinking 'Sod it, just get facelifts and tint them'.

An issue on all C6 Avants

New inners is the answer....and excuse to go all out and get facelift ones if you haven't already.
