Center exhaust box silencer

Thought i would post this incase anyone else needed to know.
I recently had a xpipe fitted to mine so center part of the exhaust was removed, the bloke at the shop told me that the silencer on these cars also balanced the the two banks of the engine so it would only be making more noise removing it. Well i cut the oem one open to see inside. See for your self i dont think it dose.

Why has only now side got holes in?

And who made the x-pipe for you?

Nope i checked that. You can just get your fingers up the pipe, no holes on other side.
