I can tell you the results will be not worth waiting for, same old story for the b7 little more induction noise and that's about it, plus 99.9% of the time the bonnets shut, let's face it the b8 isn't a car you can get much more out of it, money would be better spent doing the MRC map, and that's not worth the money.

That's it, gaz (noyat) had his rs5 done,you can see the results on the rs5 forum, I'd be interested to see how much the carbon affects the b8 I had a long race with an rs5 the other day and the bloke couldn't keep up with mine, he followed me off the A3 to ask me what I had done, he looked shocked when I said it was stock, his had 20k more than mine, maybe my car is good one or his is suffering build up, who knows. I think if it's looks your after and let's face it that's about all your going to get from the carbon airbox, money would be better spent on a nice set of wheels

Funny you should say that... Don't tell Ross, but I'm considering it... I really like the v spokes.

Performance wise, only had it a week. But I'm struggling to find anything really. Definitely not as fast as the c6, but more drivable. Better response.

The only performance mod really required is me! I need to use the manual a lot more and get used to it. Going to the ring next month I hope and think I'd struggle without this.

Our engines vary more than 20ps between runs on a dyno anyway. Mine was 460 and is now back down to around 420, carbon being the likely cause. Its been a year since the carbon clean.

Guess it's a case of the same engine same problems, mine seems to pulling better than ever after 24k strange!!

Getting one fitted to the rs4 before AITP they are doing a before and after dyno, so will be good to see what the results are plus it's the first intake for the rs4 that looks good as wel

Not worth the hassle, or the money the gains will be so minimal you will never notice

They say you will get a minimum of 15 whp so will just have to see, I know it is very hard to extract power out of these engines unless you put a SC on it so am gonna try a few other things without going down that route

plus will be keeping this car for a while now sold one 4 months back and Realised I made a mistake so bought another!!

I think if it's more power your after get it mapped at MRC
I reckon you will get more power for your money, no harm in dropping them a line?

Is currently has a map by them I'm lead to believe, plus akprovic exhaust, I will be adding decated downpipes just to help the flow
Will also be having done Carbon clean a forced injection through the cylinders plus a normal fuel clean just to get every bit out of the engine spark plugs and all other little bits have been changed

If that's the case you might as well go for the Airbox too, didn't realise you have all those mods,do you know what power it puts out now?

I was going to take mine down for a health check and dyno. See what it does. Would be good to compare.

To do downpipe cats I believe its an engine out job. Might be worth seeing if MRC have worked out a way around it though. I had to get the cats replaced as they are prone to failing around 50k onwards.

I know for the c6 it was classed as a might be an engine out job. Basically the top bots on the header pipe are prone to snap. If they do; engine out.

When I had the engine out in that I got them to use a lot of copper slip on them when they put them back...

Labour for engine was £2800 when I had to do it.
