Hi all, I saw this posted on MRC's FB page. I'm guessing that due to the popularity of the Snap and Crackle effect on the C7, MRC have now decided to offer it on the C6 as well. The video doesn't really show how it would be used "on the road" as the cars in Neutral so if it did this every time you lifted whilst in-gear I think it'd get very annoying very quickly. Then again who would sit in Neutral just rev-ing the engine?
Mine already makes a decent noise on gear change so I'm not sure I'd get this added until I'd actually seen it on the road some more.
I love the current noise on change up/down but had a very similar 'crackle' noise from my old BMW M135i (the Eisenmann exhaust made it a lot more defined as well) and I never got tired of it to be honest.

It's a very simple map tweak so I would have thought it's possible. During "over-run" the car stops injecting any fuel and lets the wheels turn the engine which is great for MPGs/emissions etc and the map tweak looks like it just trickles a little fuel (maybe 1% IDC) whilst cutting the spark to create lots of small crackles where the fuel ignites in the exhaust.
My R34 had the option in it's aftermarket ECU for the same.
