Adaptive cruise control with braking guard. Intelligent automatic speed and distance control system. Works at speeds from 19-124mph, using radar sensors to measure and maintain required distance to vehicle ahead by braking and accelerating. Includes Audi braking guard – a system which triggers a visual and acoustic alarm when it detects the risk of a rear end collision with the vehicle in front. This system will ultimately apply the brakes in an emergency!
Audi parking system advanced. Aids parking by acoustically and visually indicating distances to obstacles with guiding lines and rear view camera with predictive positioning linked to steering input.
Audi active lane assist. Helps the driver to stay in lane with gentle steering impulses for greater safety and convenience, particularly on motorways and country roads. The system informs the driver if the car is drifting out of its lane unintentionally above approximately 37mph. The driver has the choice of two system settings in the MMI:
Early steering intervention – continuously helps the driver to stay in lane with steering impulses that centre the vehicle in its lane - Late steering intervention – alerts the driver that the vehicle is possibly crossing the lane markings at the same time as providing a corrective steering prompt. An additional warning in the form of the vibrating steering wheel is issued when lane markings are crossed, if specified by driver. This system can actually steer the car for 3 interventions – not recommended!
