I still stand on what i say and think it is a smart business move for a trader to pose as a private buyer to buy a car
If, as I suspect (and others are assuming) it is so you can attempt to use your experience as a professional car trader to exploit or strong arm the average joe into paying less for a vehicle, then I hope i'm there when karma catches up with you.
If its something else, please clarify.
Well said +1
average Joe would not be paying less for a vehicle he is selling, you are assuming i would be offering less so in turn average Joe would be taking less, which is merely a speculation.
I never stated anywhere i would offer average Joe 'CAP' or 'BOOK' price guides for his car, you can not buy these types of car from book values unless you main dealer and the seller is simply is not bothered about how much they are losing.
If average Joe's car is priced (like the car previously bought) at what i feel fair for the condition/age/mileage i will pay the asking price for the car.
Thank you to whoever gave a reasonably valid reason as to why they would not want to sell to a trader. i understand people get attached to their cars and like to see them go onto another caring home, that is all fine and well if you are financially secure, your private situation allows you to do so, you can afford to put your car up at high market value and wait for the right 'caring' buyer to come along (often over a period of months)
but remember there is always two sides to every story, not everybody is financially secure, do not for one minute kid yourself into thinking you would not take a dealers money 6 months down the line when no private buyer has viewed the car and the dealer is willing to pay your asking price, i bet that same dealer is not a 'prick' or '<beep>' then as i have already been described as even though i have done nothing wrong.
With regards to being a forum sponsor to view classified/buy cars. whoever mention my post count was correct, i am new to the forum and never realized there was a sponsorship section etc (hence why i deleted my post in the classified section)
being a Paid trade sponsor is a great idea but currently would not make business sense on this forum. the volume of cars you have access too for the money is a very small amount in comparison online car trading sites.
Paying to satisfy a few members who do not like the fact i have bought cars which are advertised on the forum would just be stupid. Given that the cars were also advertised elsewhere (both add where on pistonheads i believe E-bay also)
Hope that clarifies it for whoever asked, you do not need to strongarm anybody into anything.

For the record, i would not waste my time trying someone with the strictly no traders stuff on there add, if they are lucky or someone wants the car it will sell, if not, i would wait until the add said ***PRICE REDUCED*** and the 'strictly no traders' bollocks has been removed. that is my time to sweep in with the headlock/armbar or guillotine......hammer the price down to pennies and then make them tap!!!

the above between the lines was joke - lets see who has a sense of humour
