Firing Order

Post by andywaddy » Mon May 16, 2016 7:39 pm

Does anybody know the firing order for these engines? I have a misfire occurring on cylinder 5 and just want to confirm that I am looking at the correct one.

Thanks!

Hi Andy

I've attached the self study guide for the 4.o v8. on page 62 it gives the firing order in 8 cylinder mode as 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2. have a look and double check it though.

it gives some good info regarding the engine.

Brilliant ! What a tech head's dream read looks like. And I enjoyed it too.

Is the same same available for a B8 RS4?

cheers

Haven't managed to get hold of the B8 service guide, someone may have posted it in the B8 forum though. I have got the B7 one though, I'm more than sure this has already been posted in the B7 forum.
