Ian - wow. Simply, wow.

Just add the ceramics and this Death Star is complete!

Awesome work.

Think he's going to run the same setup as i am 410mm Steels... as without going into way loads of detail the Audi Ceramic compound is no good for track use.

I'm so happy you boys are around :) the laws of physics argument about ceramics always annoyed me.

Tyre grip is the limiting factor so steals can clearly stop as powerfully as ceramics... The weight is the benefit. Bit that 410 setup is pretty light unsprung weoghtx

The issue is in what conditions each application is used. There are pros and cons for both material types.

Absolutely true there Gurj!

To prevent derailing the thread into a brake debate I'd suggest a separate "Audi OEM Ceramics vs Steel" thread be made.

If anyone is interested in my history with the C6 I've kept a "Car Diary" over on Pistonheads with everything I've done since the day I bought her and it'll be kept up to date with constant updates - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... &t=1530059

Ian - hats off to you Buddy - 750 aint cutting for me anymore...im off to rob a bank coz I need some of that!!!

One question re water meth - did you install this at stage 2 or after - any noticeable improvements as that's my realistic short term upgrade ? living In Dubai I see this as a no brainer..

Thanks in advance Lee

It was part of the stage 3 upgrade so I've no idea what it'd be like for stage 2 I'm afraid.

Water meth for stage 2 give you the edge only if you map it in. I had it when I had stage 2 but not mapped in. Just the advantage of running cooler without additional power was good enough for me. With hybrids, it is a different story and is a MUST because you are fighting with massive heat soaks especially if you are running OEM or not so efficient intercoolers.
Too much power is barely enough.

Thanks Ian / Classba I'm going to map it in so will hopefully feel the benefit plus it will make me feel better with outside temps in the high 40s over the coming months...

Yep he does so - but is respected and appreciated by many users who value his opinion and honesty in what he says and does.
