Very interesting read. Still no definitive between DRC & air? Interestingly my car has Dunlops. Think I will get 4 wheel allignment done and see if this helps. I fairly sure it's not normal though, the feeling of it is very strange...

Playing about a bit today, in comfort this effect is very pronounced, and a little unnerving. Seems to drastically improve when in dynamic but I reckon still there a bit. Would like to drive a DRC equipped car to compare. Anyone with DRC noticed the squirming effect under hard acceleration with change of direction? It's definitely not tires slipping. The front end goes very light too, never had that feeling in the C6.

And -40mm H&R springs.

I used to get a similar issue on my previous R8s. It turned out they were incredibly tyre pressure and wear sensitive. Just 1 psi difference across the axil would make it do this or as the tyres got down to below 4mm. Worth checking the pressures and tread depths are even.
Only thing I get on mine is a slight tendency to tramline / pull into the camber slightly on full power in low gears but nothing really noticeable but it's only got 1200 miles on it so it's possible it's a similar thing the the R8s suffer from.

Oversteer ? Following my list of previous cars I am afraid to say I think this car handles like a 5 tonne lorry on cross plys compared to some.
Each car is a mixture of strengths and so picking on one aspect is always unfair. I am still happy as an owner. Its a missile.
Love the performance
Love the comfort (Air/Comfort mode)
Love the interior and smooth controls
Love the engine and gearbox
Then the small stuff - great telephone car kit, good sounds, good seats, quiet, amazing cruiser.

I just would not put either the steering feedback or handling in the top drawer, the car is not agile. The E63 had better steering and more fun handling.
Would the E63 have outrun the RS6, hell no. Would it have been more fun at lower speeds -oh yes noise and interaction.
Was the E63 gearbox dumb, was it likely to spin up on poor roads, was it noisy - yup.
Compared to the E63 the Audi wants to plough straight on nearly all the time.
I have never had it step out even on the slightly bumpy back roads around my home under full pelt.

Interestingly I am seeing worse MPG. After 20.5mpg over 20k miles in the E63 I am seeing only 18.5 after 1,500 miles in the Audi. I spend most of my time in comfort and on the M4/A34. I do find the quieter interior when cruising means I find myself going faster and need to pull back regularly. I am worried about this as I am still in "relax. run-in and learn mode" as far as I am concerned. One recent backroad zip home resulted in 11.7mpg.

Among my prior cars was a very much loved Skyline R33GTR Vspec @550bhp, that would drift, slide and oversteer on demand. It was big when you got it sideways! The RS6 is the same, tooooo big to put sideways on any public road without fear of ditches, lampposts, coppers and insurance forms. Not to mention the harm that could do to others.

In my mind I have the RS6 down as a slightly sub-sonic super cruiser. I will do a light track day to see if I can adjust my style to get more out of it. I suspect that will also result in the replacement of the Pirellis with MichPilotSupSports. But it is anything but an agile oversteerer unless you are really going for it.
