Basically what I've done (and what you're going to do) is the same as what a non-resonated Milltek is, bar the rear back boxes which we've kept as stock. There are no sensors around the questionable resonators so I assure you no issues will occur - and I've never had any issues with Audi whenever it's been in for work.

So what you lot upto? you cut out the boxes and replace them with what?

Cut them out and replace with plain pipe. There are several boxes in the oem exhaus system that are there to just quieten the dust down. Get rid of them and you get a noisier exhaust.
After spending loads on exhausts for my B7 this is the final solution I ended up so want to try it on the C7 too.

I did think about it, and to be honest that will probably be my next move if the res delete is no good.
But after settling on res delete for my rs4 it must be worth a try first for the 6 before spending thousands on other options. I think res delete will make the 6 just about the right volume level. It already has a nice tone it just needs a bit more volume.

So do you have the factory sports exhaust and removed the centre res parts or the standard exhaust? I am considering doing this to mine now as having trouble justifying the £5k Arkra system to myself having just put a deposit down on a new RR Sport this week!

Is it noticeable louder, any drone or annoyance in the car? I have just been recomended a guy locally who can do this very cheaply so seems worth a try before spending £££ on full system.

Yep, I have the sports exhaust from factory but I was never quite sure of what the difference was between the sports and standard exhaust. I think they both have the same components but the sports had freer flowing cats? (I could be wrong).
I just removed the centre resonator components (3 boxes) and replaced it with 2.5" straight pipe.
It is noticeably louder and sounds just right in my opinion. No annoyance in the car whatsoever. A tiny bit of drone is present in 8th gear sat at 90 but if that's an issue, putting it in comfort mode to close the flaps stops that straight away. Honestly, for the sake of £200-£400, it's worth just chopping those out, seeing if you like it and then if not, feel free to throw your money at the likes of Akra. I personally think you'll be happy with the mod.
