So at 70/80 then, I guess 300/350 miles from a tank is pretty achievable?

So after a quick calc, I've worked out that at 23mpg brim to brim (80l), you 'could' get 400 from a tank!!!! And then you get bored and hit the loud pedal. :)

Not a chance. You'll never see more than 350. Chuck in a couple of local runs and it'll soon plummet. Wasn't unusual to see less than 200.

I know. I think my best effort was 50 miles to half a tank with the M5 when I took it to the track. For a 2 tonne barge, it was actually pretty good fun, just a shame about the SMG box.

Yeah I've seen that one thanks mate but it's a bit more than I want to spend to be honest.

I am tempted to go and have a look at the Mugello car in the classifieds however.

After looking at a Mugello car at the weekend, the wife and I think it's the better colour and I think I may even prefer a Silverstone interior.

Talk about a complete u turn!!

24.1 was the best I ever did .. 70 mph on cruise for a 100 mile journey .. expect 16 - 17 in real life

Impressive. So if you stayed at 70 for a few hundred miles on a long trip through France, bar a couple of service station stops, you could perhaps see 400 from a tank, non?

We drive from North Kent to Ile-de-Re once a year and it's just interesting to see what we could achieve.

pretty much .. but to be honest when I did 24 I was early for an afternoon meeting having "screwed up and set off too early" so just cruised and yes it was mind numbing boring .. However since then I spent a year doing the same in a Tesla as battery consumption at 70 was way better than at 71+ mph (honest officer).. Now I find I drive the Cayenne at 70 and just mellow out (yes I am old now) and cruise along

I average 23-26mpg when sat at a very boring 60mph or 22-24mpg at 70mph. If I go to 80 it drops to below 20.

My last C6 was a Mugello, it was an awesome colour when in good light, if not in that light it was just another doom blue shade but I agree its a better choice than sepang.

I didn't realise C6's came with chintzy Mercedes style door handles  or is it a trick of the light?
