Love that strap. I have a PO on the rubber strap but it spends most of its time on my desk whilst my pro-trek never comes off. I'd be tempted to wear it more if in had a strap like that. Would you mind sharing where you got it?

I've got mine on rubber with orange stitches.

Re the whiskey strap, I commissioned it from Etzy.

There's a guy in the US that does straps from old Baseball gloves too, they're 'interesting', they look superb on a Pam. Google image "pam on baseball glove leather".

Try talking to one of the guys that do Swiss ammo bag leather for the really nice stuff.

Yes, it's lovely but anyone dropping over £5k on a watch needs their head examined.
I do actually agree with this now. If you need to sell on you will quite easily sell a steel sports rolex/Omega in the under £5k bracket for not a huge loss. Over £5k and you're limiting your buyers quite considerably.

Buy brand new and you'll take a serious bath, like with cars.

If you've got lots of cash and aren't financing your cars, then you're probably into the more garish tat like Hublot & Audimars Piquet and it won't matter anyway haha!

There really isn't anything more garish or anything that shouts "I have absolutely zero taste" than something like that! I'd even go as far as saying anything over the £10k mark is unnecessary as most of the time you're simply paying for precious metals (think gold subs, diamond daytona's, platinum Pateks) and not complications (tourbillon's, A.langhe & Sohne grand complication etc), in essence, its tacky. the same principle can of course be applied to cars, but thats a whole other rabbit hole...

The only circumstance where its acceptable to spend big bucks on a watch is with the real haut horology stuff, but the kind of people who buy those watches wouldn't be interested in wearing something that tells the world they have money.

Given there's a few 'watch people' here, thought you might like a pic of my new dress/work watch. White Gold DJII 41mm with Navy Baton. I treated myself on Father's Day, very happy with it! :smile_smoking:

It was intended to replace my trusty Seamaster Chrono (on a calf strap), but I've decided to keep it. Pic of that also for you Omega fans...

Good to see this thread still going :)

Picked this up not too long ago, deliberated for ages whether to get a no-date ceramic or the classic no-date. Im so glad I went for the ceramic, the new bracelet alone is worth the extra premium and it wears much better than the slimmer versions (imo).
