I'm all good with it blowing itself up!!! ives me an excuse for another performance bit :-)

I am told that the DSG box is mega strong..... - but if not i'll crack on with further mods!!!!

Genius!

Good shout on Volks Autos too, I seem to be in there about once a month with my wife's Mk5 golf Gti DSG getting bits and pieces done! Chris has done a couple of bits on the RS4 too, plus they pick up and drop the cars back home if I ask, or drop me to the tube station in Morden. They even have a small kiddies play area in reception!

There seem to be a fair few 300hp+ DSG golfs about on the mk5golfgti forum, so I guess the box is up to it. Is it paddle shift? That might up the fun stakes a bit... You may be able to retrofit and code in a new wheel with integrated paddles...I know some of the early Gti's didn't come with them, so this is a popular retrofit.
