Original S8 Avus 18" wheels & centre caps; full set for sale

Post by HPsauce » Mon Jul 13, 2015 11:54 am

This is a full set of 5, all fully refurbished by BJV ( http://www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk ) with their Silver No4, a relatively "sparkly" finish.
Four OEM centre caps included with all fixings intact and minimal surface markings - you really have to look very close to see any at all.
Note that two wheels have been used briefly so have had tyres fitted and removed since they were refurbished but are otherwise unmarked. The others are straight from refurbishment.

These were actually my winter wheels on my S8 until I moved up to 20's for this summer and now have the facelift 18's for winter.
All run true and have had no repairs/welds. Part number 4D0 601 025N.
As most will know they are 8Jx18H2 ET48 also known as Speedline 917/B and were made in Italy for Audi.

These wheels sell for a good price even with kerb rash and the centres are now very difficult/expensive to acquire.
£800 collected from South Bucks (near M25/M40) for five immaculate wheels and four centre caps.

If anyone is interested and at ADI tomorrow I should be there with these in the boot of my S8.
Parked in the club area with the other 8's which I think are on the Northern edge opposite AudiSRS (backing onto Circuit Motors).
Cash only, obviously.

Provisionally sold at a small discount to an already-known buyer (subject to contract as estate agents say).
Unless someone really wants them and has the full asking price in cash. :bigblink:

These are now reserved (until after Christmas) for a D2 A8 owner who viewed them today.

I've heard nothing further from the guy who looked at them before Christmas, so these are available again. 8)

Hi Ian, I'm in no rush, when would you want them?
(Or if you meant did I take a deposit from him, then no.)

This! Money talks!

Sadly far too many time wasters out there! Didn't the person you mention view them the day of the Buddies Meet - I'm sure I remember you talking about it?

Definitely post them on the S2 forum (I think you have already?) Won't fit an RS2 as they have 130 PCD hubs for the Porsche wheels, but will fit a whole host of older-school Audis, and look absolutely superb on the S2

I haven't been able to, I tried joining but never got an activation email so can't post.
Sent a follow-up message to the "management" after a suitable wait, but no response.... :boohoo:

So, if you are on there maybe post a link to this thread? Or ask them to activate me? Same user name. Thanks.

I've got individual front and back closeup pictures of each wheel that I can send to anyone interested.
Not uploaded anywhere or posted on a forum though.

Here's the front view of a random one:

I'll be taking these wheels (all 5 fit happily in a D2 boot) to AITP on Sunday. 8)
Expect to find me in the AudiSRS area and/or A8 area from opening time - 10am.
Look for the dark green D2 S8 and bring cash if interested!

Note that I should be at ADI (Castle Combe) on Saturday and can take these with me if there is serious interest in a cash sale.
