Guess it's all subjective we all know millteks systems adopt a patina very early on and aren't the best in quality but this poll is almost farcscical as Ross is the only b8 owner with one of these systems but a majority want to own one ? I don't get it when no ones really heard one ! Agreed akrapovic is too expensive but capristo are middle market almost milltek money and probably jc weld money ! And I'm sure they poured as much money into R&D as anyone the blips on the downshift are amazing and there's zero drone in any gear at any speed and it went on in minutes fitted perfectly it may be a mass produced system but it's a mass produced car
100% with all this tbh.

I love my Capr.......

You guys all need to get together at an event and make a sound video using the same cameras and sound capture. Then people will have a better idea about which is best for them because let's be honest. It's pretty much only about the sound and what people want will vary.

And build quality, thats the main reason i ordered a supersprint over a Milltek. Milltek Is louder but looks bad, supersprint sounds nicer and looks nicer and its tuned to the engine which pays dividends when the car is mapped and the egt's are solid.

Is the JCweldfab system "finished" yet and available to buy? Threads been running for a while now and there was a mention of prices being available soon some time ago but i can't seem to find any?
Not much love for the Akra system yet it seems to be the most popular in the poll? Is that because of the price or sounds quality?

I'm looking to put exhaust on mine now and i love the look of the carbon tips on the arka but i wouldnt pay twice the price just to get them if another exhaust is as well made and sounds better...

Hi guys,

Sorry for the lack of updates on here re the exhaust, and thanks to Ross for keeping things updated.

We have been doing a lot of work on the exhaust system, the B8 is responding totally differently to the B7 with regards to noise, which has caused us a few issues, we can get the noise level right, but then we suffer with drone at cruising speed, this isn't the kind of car where we want drone, so we have been trying various different options to eliminate it, we are currently just producing a set of anti res pipes which previously worked for us on Porsche panamera turbos, so a little bit of maths and we are well under way with that. hopefully this will allow us to opt for a louder system but also one which is quiet at motorway speed.

We want to have this all finalised this week for Ross's feedback, he is keen to get the system absolutely perfect as well as us. Some people would have settled with the exhaust on the 1-2 test system but there were still little tweaks to be made to make it perfect.

Ill make a point of being a little more active on here over the next few days!

Quick question guys. Does anyone with an Aftermarket system suffer with the mounting point directly below the centre armrest coming loose and the system knocking occasionally when going over speed bumps? It's just occurred to me that mine has now done this 2-3 times. Audi have just tightened it up each time, but it doesn't seem to be the best design in the world......

Not yet. It's my fault - I've had some personal issues meaning I've needed the car. I had to take it away early from JCWF. Hopefully back with them in a week or so.

Hi,

Been watching this thread with keen interest, and I was wondering if there has been any good news regarding this exhaust, however slight - since the last post?

Cheers!
