Coilovers , arch rolling advice

Post by controversial » Sat Jan 09, 2016 6:32 pm

This may not be for the purist but ..

I have a RS4 B7 ... Got masses of adjustment left but want the front lower , problem I'm having I won't be able to turn the wheels if I go lower on the front , rear is perfect . . Ok if I have the front arches rolled will this enable me to get that front wheel tucked into the arch ??

Yes. I had to do this as I'm quite low and using spacers.. It rubbed before.

Are you not concerned about the dreaded speed bumps ?

When I lowered mine it used to scrape the bumps unless I drove one side over them ( annoying )
So raised it no scraping

Not at all bud .... If we worried about things like speed humps it's time to give up :- use alternative route or drive slow

Don't roll the front arches. Have the lip that goes inwards removed. I run 20x10.5 inch wheels all round. That's what I had done. No rubbing whatsoever.

Yes thx Mike for the link

Dave, Love the set up

How did they finish the arches edges off? Did they fold the lip back inside?

Do love that RS6 grill, what have you done about the number plate? Rich
