F125 Switch Part Number

Post by silky16v » Thu Jan 07, 2016 1:42 pm

Does anyone have the P/N for the F125 switch and if it can be purchased via TPS or is it a ZF specialist for the part?

tried doing a search for P/N but no luck

TPS sell them as mine came from there a few months back. As for part number I'm sure Shop will be along shortly.

When you search it where? Have a look in the parts catalogue linked to in the FAQ if you don't believe me. :)

It comes with the harness on it. I did a tutorial on changing the F125 recently. Have a look in there.

Get a couple of bolts (01V919838), too.

/Or better, replace them with some hex or cap head instead. I fecking hate Torx.

New switch fitted took about an 1.5hr to do :jump_clap:

Gear changes are smoother and no more notchyness when selecting reverse

I only had issues with the switch when choosing reverse or neutral when engine was cold the dash would light up and go into limp mode, stop start of the engine and it cleared

But what about this 01V 919 821 B?
It fits Passat 2.2 (sorry for mentioning here) and it’s 1/4 the price.

Is it only different in the connector?
The main part looks the same...

Looks identical.
What makes you think it's cheaper?
