Heater Fan Stopped Working???

Hi
Does anyone know where the heater fan is located as mine has stopped working, need the aircon on to get a tiny gap at the bottom of the screen to see through if IT RAINS. I found an A6 post about it being mounted under the glovebox but not sure on the RS6. Whilst the engine is running it makes a soft repeated tap behind the dash like a flap is trying to open. Has anyone had anything similar?

Just experienced the same thing with our 2007 Q7, needs the motor removing and cleaning out, and that could work. May not, and may need a new motor. We were lucky and it just needed a clean out.
