Is it unlikely for audi to show us the rs4b9 now in january Detroit?
Dont know where i read it but somewhere i heard they want to start selling the rs4b9 for a longer period than the previous models.
Might now cancel my rs6order due to the so much gta

You read that every time new 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 comes out. There is no way in hell Audi are going to launch the RS4 in January!

If the B9 is, like the B8, going to be Avant only then it's unlikely it would be sold in the US (as they don't buy "wagons" in sufficient volume for AoA to justify he homologation cost) so being shown in Detroit at any time is unlikely.

I was told by a dealer he will be hoping to demo one around August, pre-production sample, which is in line with deliveries for end of the year.

Indeed, I was at a dealer yesterday and he said there were "significant delays" to the whole B9 schedule. He said the dealer network haven't even been told when the delayed S4 will be arriving. He also said that there's still no word on what engine the B9 RS4 will have, something that is usually confirmed very early on. He also said that other models such as the Q7 e-tron and SQ7 had also gone quiet, with no further info that would usually have been confirmed by now.

With that in mind he was guesstimating that it would be 12-18mths away at the very earliest. I don't distrust him becasue he is the dealer representative that goes to all the dealer launch events in Germany.

On the plus side, the problems mean that there's good discount to be had across the ranges and the 'book' p/x prices for mine have been strong.

I've been told there is a rumour the next rs4 might be 4 cylinder 500+ HP they do 4 cyl for emissions.

Can't see it being a smaller engine than the transverly mounted cars get. What are they then going to stick in the RS3, a 3 pot?
