I logged in to mine and I need the car's VIN to register it to me... how did you get the tracking set up?

All you need is the order number from the dealer and the post code.

Yeah, realised that. I was in "MyAudi", not "yourAudi".

You just need the 8 digit order number and your postcode I think.
Its been around for a while but nit officially released as it is a beta site and still under test and changes regularly (and has errors with specs). I don't thonk many dealers tell you about it. Highly addictive though. I'll post a link to the website that monitors boats so you can guess when it is leaving Emden.

I use MarineTraffic for work, so can easily track boats if I know the name

Yeah that's the one.
Generally the boats used are
Emden
EMS highway
Neckar highway
African highway
Weser highway
I have seen others too but these are the main ones.
Boats leave Emden and head into either Tyne, Grimsby, Sheerness I think.

Two of them are on the way from Grimsby to Emden... maybe to make a special Christmas collection

It has been known for them to go from one uk Port to the next so they could be heading to Tyne after Grimsby. Martin, if yours was ordered from a Scottish dealer then it will almost certainly be dropped off at Tyne.

AIS has destination too, they're showing Emden as destination... might be on the next round though.

Do you know if your car is at Emden yet? The tracker just says its on its way until it arrives in the uk. But there is a way of looking at the code behind the graphical interface that splits it down further with a code for arrived at Port so you know if its off the train yet. The trouble I found was that it was sitting at the port for ages then turned up in the uk between updates.

No. A mate got an email saying his SQ5 was at the port waiting to come over and I've not had that yet, but they haven't been very forthcoming with details on mine for some reason. Last time I asked for an update they said "oh yeah, the build date was brought forward 6 weeks".
