True enough but its £200+ and i didnt have the spare cash, i got that foxwell second hand on eBay for £45 and it scans and does what i need, i can wind back rear callipers, do service schedules, change basics/adaptions..
Read channel sensor data etc.
I have a few mates with VCDS so if i need anything a bit more technical i give them a shout, and the Android app is more of a "just in case" i get a fault code i can read it while im out and about as its part of my phone.

Re: Best diagnostic tool?
I'm contemplating buying Ross-tech VCDS kit, like many of you mentioned it's the most comprehensive diagnostics software that I will need and it's affordable especially seeing how complexed the c6 engines are.
Re: Best diagnostic tool?
Plus, if you sell your car for a non-VAG one you can re-sell the Ross-tech for almost the original buying price.

Re: Best diagnostic tool?
What about ODIS? Is that more comprehensive or VCDS stands to be the bee's knees?
