I drove on some snow the day before yesterday but it was no fun as I've still got the PSS on with the winter tires stuffed in the closet. Had not driven on snow with summers in years so it was a good reminder of how terrible it is.

A thin layer of snow on the asfalt and there was just about zero grip. I overshot a street I wanted to turn into because there was no way to slow down in time even from a very moderate speed. Winters going on tomorrow, after that, let it snow

C5 RS6 Avant Daytona/Cognac - gone.

Yeah getting moving in snow with a quattro is easy, it's the stopping that only winter rubber can help with.

Just get some winter rubber. Don't forget to dryclean the piss out of last years winter slippers before you start wearing them again, old piss can be a bit too strong for such a young Jaaaaaaag driver.

Can't wait! Instructing at our annual Audi club Winter Driving School (http://naaclub.org/?page_id=204) in my late departed FWD Jetta TDI was entertaining. Only a few cones get killed, and there's the odd snowbank excursion.

Can't imagine what it will be like skating around with *just a smidge* more power, and quattro, during instructor rides and playtime. I'm fairly certain my biggest challenge will be to ignore the attraction of that glorious sound, and keep the engine barely above idle.

A friend an I are doing a skid pan day at thruxton soon, I think i'll struggle with that too, can imagine it'd sound great with a V8 close to or hitting the rev limiter lol

Just arrived in Aviemore with the RS4 and there's a dusting of snow. The forecast was for a few cms so hopefully it'll be nice and white in the morning. The snow tyres have had three winters on them so will see how grippy they are.

Excellent! The road up the ski centre is fantastic.

Looking forward to some snow down south, no snow the last two winters unlike 2010 2011 2012 2013. B6 S4 was awesome in snow on winter tyres. Last winter in my B5 quattro snotter I was looking forward to chucking it around with abandon (on the same 17" winter wheels I ran on the B6 S4) but it didn't snow at all!
