Salvage S3
Whats going on people......
.....well myself like you lot, have been a car lover, that being the Audi's from the first day I got my licence....had an s4 4.2 quattro, but sold it...
and interesting...just brought an Audi S3, from Universalsalvage.com, on a 51 reg for £7000, recorded on a CAT D, and needs two doors replacing, and the front suspension leg....
I know what your thinking...a damaged one, never drives like a solid undamaged one...but believe me people...been in this game for 10 years now...and the benfits reap....got £7000 to spend on extras now!!!!
Brought new H2S xenon bulbs, with 10,000K colour temperature, boys...you need to see what I see!!!!! nothing like it....(will put up pictures soon)
Any ideas to what else I should get? i wanted to upgrade the fog lights with xenon look bulbs to compliment the main beam....
And where is it I can get them MTM multi spoke alloys from?
Cheers Boys

RE: Salvage S3
You can get the bulbs from a guy who sells them on ebay...just search, he is based in germany, one issue I had, is that the cars normally come with H7 bulbs, but thankfully the D2S are roughly the same size, and doesnt effect performance.......believe me, these are the most powerful xenon bulbs there are, you can get the 12,000k too, but they have a hint of purple in them, I think my ones look best.....sitas3 wrote:Well done.

for the bulbs in the uk try http://www.autolamps-online.com/gasdischarge/index.htm
I've fitted several of their kits to Porkers and VW's in the past, and had no problems at all.

Too many toys, not enough time

the only people with an off-the-shelf kit for a quattro a3 are mtm - jabba sport, amd etc cant or wont do one because of the time involved with custom downpipes.
its worth looking at the torque curve as well rather than the top end bhp - top end quoted bhp figures dont really relate to read drivability
jps http://www.jbsautodesigns.co.uk/index.htm say they can do custom downpipes in house and use a gt28rs turbo - give them a ring but again get a real torque curve from a conversion before buying anything.
