Like I said..

Sorry boys, but a "proper clean" will get a lot more than this..

The rolling road operator , said the best one they have seen was 390 from a brand new rs5 , so I doubt a"proper" clean will give much more , well maby for 1k miles until it's coked again

An MRC cleaned car will produce power very close to manufacturers figures. The RS4 used to have a rep for not being able to produce quoted figures but this was purely down to dirty engines.
386 is what I'd expect from a standard car that hasn't been cleaned.
But as we had no before figures it doesn't give us the whole picture, he could have a vac leak for example.

This is the list of actual data from the rs246 rolling road day back in 2013.

You decide whether its worth the money or not.. I won best standard never clean rs4 b7 on the day with... 387 bhp

Not trying to be an ass, but honestly, i would question whether this is making any difference whatsoever.

Best way to put it to test is a rolling road before and after on the day, then ill eat my words, promise :)

For me, if the power increased it would be a bonus. But it's not all about the power. Let's not forget that the great MRC remap adds very little power but it is still a worthwhile investment. Even if the power doesn't increase with this clean it is not a waste of time in my opinion. Many people who have had it done have stated they have noticed a difference, including myself. Personally, I think spending 500-800quid and losing the car for a few days, and having to take a day off to drop the car off, then another day to pick it, just to say I've got 4xxbhp for a year then have to do it all again is a complete waste of my time and money.
I'd rather spend £100 a year with no effort to go anywhere or take any time off or lose the car for a few days to help keep the engine a bit cleaner and rev smoother and pull harder and idle better etc

Unusual set-up they have there with the back of the car against a wall. I bet the exhaust was very loud revving against that wall!

Surprised that was after Kev had had his stage 2, etc. Interesting too as the OP now owns this car. Silas made good power with just a deflap, but assume MRC map too. Paul didn't end up running what is now my car. Would have been interesting to see what it made. You made a very good figure for a stock car with no c/c.

Generally speaking (and there will no doubt be exceptions);
Any of those that are less than 370 have problems like vac leaks.
Those around 370 to 390 are standard but not carbon cleaned.
The ones around 390 to 410 are modified and uncleaned
410 to 420 are cleaned but not modified but I think there may be a little overlap here with the category below
420 or above are modified and cleaned.

From memory Silas had the usual mods i.e. cold air feed, stage 2 map, stage 2 manifold, exhaust etc.

I assume kev only made 404 cos he hadn't had a clean at the time.
