It needs to be really really good.

Ok so just done 350mls mix of motorway country and a road.

Firstly i don't care about how much juice it uses; second car except for the 911 that i really don't mind filling.

So tech; i'm happy enough - adaptive cruise is great, after learning lane assist - brilliant. B&O sounds like a nightclub - big tick there.

Gearbox amazing; steering ok

Looks fabulous

So we can take out the tech; the consumption; the tech; handling - ok not steering

That v8 is the only thing that the new car needs to beat....

Ok Audi - over to you; the new car needs more soul... Can you find it? I think it'll be super hard. This car when you connect with it is amazing, i mean amazing. The reviews are based upon limited mileage - give them 7000mls of life and see what they say then.

It is an absolute beast; i mean beast

Never really looked hard at the light.

The zigzag is a weird one defo; but if the internals have some funky design it might just work; you know matrix etc

Not sure what to think about those pics of the S4?
Maybe it's the high polish and lights of the show but it all looks very shiny and bling.
Maybe it's to compete with Mercedes who also have gone down the bling route for a lot of their cars.

Too many torques for the S-Tronic unit, and dare I say it, now VAG haven't got a pot to piss in, unless already developed, RS4 could go sloshotronic also. Only unit in the family is 911 PDK and I'd guess that's completely the wrong shape.

Fcuk.
That.
Sh1t.

That's a retarded step backwards IMO. They'd better offer a manual.

Was thinking about the impact of the VAG(ina) implosion this morning actually. Also had some professor on saying, they will focus on main model line and bentley and other exotica will go.

Death of the (R)S 5 and 7 anyone? Ill back that bet...

If the RS5/7 don't make a new model comeback, that'll be due to poor sales volumes rather than any VAG emissions fallout
Also, re Bentley, with sales better than ever, and the new 4x4 forcasted to increase volume by 140% by 2019, they'd be very unwise to sell that out the group
Worth remembering that whilst the impact and fines of the emissions scandal will be enormous by any standard, VAG's balance sheet has a cash fund of circa Eu30bn cold, hard bank balance

This "professor of motoring" dude on the radio reckons its a potential 50Bn GBP problem. With pre-crisis profits of 10bn or so and the company image in tatters he reckons the heart of the business (polo, golf, octavia) where his exact words.

Who knows? Not me, but change is upon them and difficult choices will need to be made.
I say this though, I will eat my left bollock if they stay as is, in one piece
Parts of the business will go as will model lines

Imo
