EPC light

Post by mustdash » Thu Aug 27, 2015 9:28 am

Long story short -

While at Le Mans I inadvertantly overfilled the car with oil (not by much). The EPC light came on on the dash and stayed on for the first 50 or so miles for the drive home then went out. Subsequently the engine management light (the little outline of an engine) came on permanently, while the EPC light came on / went off seemingly at random - the VDRS fault code for the engine management light was inlet manifold sensor, bank 2. My local indy reset the fault and told me to keep an eye on it. It came back on, so took it back and they reset it and I booked it in with them to fix. Since that second reset the engine management light hasn't come on (I presume because the oil level has dropped enough that the car isn't being fooled in to thinking it is running too rich) so the car never went in for the work. However, the EPC light is still coming on and off at random. Any one have any ideas as to what may be causing the EPC light to come on? Duff oil level sensor (if there is such a thing - i.e. the over fill has knackered it and it thinks that there si still too much oil in it), vac leak (would that cause it though - I have no idea) anything else..... ?
Car is running fine - no misfires / lumpy running etc.

Cheers
