To get anything like worth moving to you need to be looking at 40k. I was thinking about flogging mine and financing 20k but I quite like having no credit in my life. Apart from a mortgage!

Yep Jay, that is exactly my thinking, it is almost better having £20k to spend then the solution is a little clearer.. lol :drink:

Does anyone know what is the best RS Audi outside the RS4 to look after £30-35k cash for a year. RS5 ?

Thanks

B8 RS5 and RS4 is hardly going to be depreciation proof over the next 12 months with the next generation A4 + A5 arriving....

Ok I narrowed it down finally to a C63 PP saloon 2011-12 model or M5 2011-12 model. I have selected one of each and will end up putting a deposit on one tomorrow.

We don't really need rear seats, but no harm in having em.

Good choices ? opinions ? I will listen to you. :beerchug:

From those two, personally I'd go for the M5. Current shape and all.

Ermmmmm, yeah, about that budget I mentioned.. they are not quite £30k yet. I up'd the budget again to £38k to get low milers :drink:

Probably sensible, spend the extra few k and halve the mileage. Something like this?

Yes Ian, very close indeed to the M5 I am heading towards by the look of the above.... I would go AUC route for both however.

Probably very sensible as mentioned above with the Porsches having a two year warranty this route etc etc.

Anyone give their vote to the C63 ? Today is the day :)

I would be happy with either I think. The BMW is still a current model (so modern) and rarer perhaps but more expensive for same mileage and year. It is also about 5 MPG better around town driving (official figures). The C63 is cheaper, is nearly 500bhp, and as we all hear that it is supposed to be a bit wild and perhaps for a different type of customer?. The new C63 is even better though I read, so perhaps that will further hit values of this model....MB is giving 2 year warranties at the moment....I dunno.

Get your votes in please.. :beerchug:

..sooo excited, can't wait to call up..:)

M5 is boosted. If you plan to modify, this is a "cheap" route into silly power.
Believe only the man who has nothing to gain from what he says.

OK, Done it !

I was very tempted with the Merc and the NA engine with monster sounds from the Exhaust any time you wanted them,,, the fear of heavy depreciation made up my however. Deposit put down on Singapore Grey F10 M5. 8 days to it being dropped off now.

Thanks all for your help in making the decision. :jump_clap:

Ace - well done! Had a quick look at the listings last night when you posted - the three highest milers were barely any cheaper. As already mentioned, definitely worth putting the extra money in, £39k for a 28ooo mile car much better than £37k for a 49ooo miler. Did you travel and test drive it, or just do the deal on the phone?

Probably wise to avoid the C63. And yes, you only have to look at the cheapest (almost down to 20k now) to know which way your 35k-39k would be heading. Was only speaking to someone the other day who has just sold his 2.5 year old C63 coupe at a very good time I think, picked up an unregistered dealer-stock M5 in Monte Carlo Blue for a very good price registered immediately on a 15 plate
