Did they have to take out the engine to do the downpipes?

Basically it's a well built product. Just because people can't see your underwear does it mean you would walk round with your wife's knickers on with a dirty great skid mark?
Maybe you would?
I am struggling to see sense in your analogy........but whatever you say.

It does look amazingly made; like easily as good as the akra for finish; for me - i appreciate these things and the fact it won't fall apart.

What's confusing is the way mines sounding on standard sports exhaust

No. It's engine out for main cats only (unfortunately). There's no way I'd be letting someone take out the engine on a car with <1000 miles lol

In other news, I'm currently in Nurburg having done a couple of laps. The exhaust is still awesome - no drone for the drive over, loud as <beep> when you need it. There's more volume to come but even now it's amazing how heads turn etc. Loving it!

Fair enough buddy. That's a lot of pennies for a sound change ;)

And to think you could have had a JCWF and £2k change in your wallet. That's an interesting decision. Can I ask why?

JCWF? Who are they ?
Maybe that's one of the reasons lol

Also consider it was not a cost related decision.

It's almost like saying that I could have bought a Skoda Octiva and had some change left compared to buying the Audi lol

JC Weldfab are one of the options listed in the poll in this thread. They hand make exhausts to your car, it's not an off the shelf item like a miltek or akrapovic. The quality is second to none. I appreciate it's not cheap (otherwise you'd have a miltek!).

So what steered you to akrapovic? Brand name or you'd previously heard one or...?

The last can I fitted to my K8 Busa was Yoshi, Akrapovic would have been my next choice, in a matter of years they have become King in the bike world, I fancied some of it on the car.
The build quality in Titanium is far from off the shelf.
"They don't sit on the shelf"
The lifetime warranty, with an established company that are receptive to any question or query, it fitted like a glove and needed no manipulation, this all helped.

Then of course the quality sound that I would associate with an orchestra opposed to rock band.

I'm very happy with it.

The few mods that I have done this is the best on this car so far.

Describes JC WeldFab systems, really.

Here's a nice HP2 system... bespoke of course.

It's probably more like saying I bought an audi A8 cos I've never heard of the Ariel Atom.
