I doubt it, all RS cars have been launched with unique wheel designs. The launch car will be a particualr colour, usually red or blue and it will have a stricking new set of wheels with maybe 21" as an option this time too.

You could probably argue that the RS3 didn't launch with its 'own' wheels.
No matter where you go, there you are.

I didn't say the RS would, I said the standard B9 has V-spokes as pictured.

Ah yes, sorry mate.

Its a shame, i don't think the v-spokes look good in sizes other than 20" but then I'm bias as my RS4 has 20" v-spokes.

In the bosses words:

As for boxed arches, I hope they stay, its an orginal Quattro design feature and I hope they keep it.

The box arches made it onto the C6 and B8 as well as the A3 clubsport but seemed to have been dropped for the C7 and 8V so I'm assuming the next generation of 4 will follow suit.

This is all very interesting, I could live with losing the v8 if it's replaced by a bi-turbo v6 nearer 500bhp. Would have great tuning potential after warrantee expires too :sekret:

I just cannot shake the rs6 being too big for my needs ..............thinking I may now wait Until next year, hold of getting a b8 to maybe go straight from b7 to b9... hmmmm roll on some confirmed release dates Audi please as I can't wait longer than a year from now for my next rs upgrade

In the meantime though the urge for a b8 is getting harder and harder to resist!!!!

The mock up looks like the new RS3 with and RS4 badge stuck on
400 will be ok as long as there's lots of torques

That's a shame I read 475 somewhere. IMO it needs to be at least 450+ To pip the m3/4., especially as they now have time to develop/beat it speed wise. I notice the new c63 amg has the ttv8...... the way I was hoping the next rs4 would go, with these in mind the rs v6tt power plant needs to be pretty special.

I wonder what the soundtrack will be like? The thing with the v8 is its great noise, only yesterday I took a wrong turn and someone farmer looking who probably knows nothing about cars came out to direct me and said "that sounds nice", never tire or the rs v8 noise :thumb:

The blue "mockup" is actually a picture of the A3 clubsort saloon.

V6tt will be lovely though! It'll have great fuel consumption when not ragging it while having nice torque throughout to have fun with! Best of both works in my opinion. Fuel prices are going to shoot up soon so they have to be looking at both speed against the m3/4 and at a lower consumption. People are already quoting acceraltjon and mpg in the same breath these days! Like one only matters while compared to the other.

Reports in the German mags that it'll have close to 500ps.

https://translate.google.co.uk/translat ... t=&act=url

The same reports also say the S4 will move from SC to TB and have 350ps
